Cafe FOH manager / all rounder - Exciting Challenge

Red Square Cafe has been operating on the Eastern Shore for the past 15 years. We are a family-owned business with a fun, casual dining menu and a fast-paced takeaway section. We trade 7 days a week from 7:00 am - 5:00 pm. We have recently opened our second location in Glenorchy in the Spotlight shopping center. As a successful and expanding business, we offer exciting opportunities for growth and development. Qualifications & experience

• Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role in a café, restaurant, or similar hospitality environment
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Customer-focused with a passion for delivering outstanding service
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
• Strong coffee skills are an advantage

Tasks & responsibilities

• Oversee daily front of house operations, ensuring exceptional customer service
• Train, supervise, and motivate front of house staff to maintain high performance and morale
• Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner
• Manage staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours and special events
• Monitor and manage inventory, ensuring stock levels are maintained and orders are placed timely
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting environment for customers and staff
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless service and communication
• Implement and uphold health and safety standards
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with regular customers and the local community
