Cafe Manager - Generous Compensation

The Brisbane Lions is looking to appoint a Cafe Manager to its recently relaunched café – Roar Espresso. Roar Espresso is located at our award-winning home, Brighton Homes Arena.

Reporting to the Food and Beverage Operations Manager, the Café Manager will be in charge of providing a safe and comfortable atmosphere for customers and employees.

Specifically, the Café Manager’s responsibilities will include;
• Leading and managing staff across all the Café to deliver exceptional service.
• Deal efficiently and effectively with any conflict situations and customer complaints.
• Be highly visible and accessible to customers and ensure they are top priority.
• Maintain solid knowledge of all areas of the café and procedures.
• Always conduct oneself on a professional level with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Run shifts to be operationally efficient, meet legislative requirements and hit financial targets.
• Accurately follow budgets provided relating to stock and rostering.
• Help in the operations of food and beverage on all home game days.
• Overseeing stock and stock rotation.
• Be able to solve problems and conflicts is essential, as well as obtaining excellent communication and team player skills.

This is a full-time position, with hours generally 6am – 3pm Monday to Friday. There will be weekend work when there are Games and other Functions held at BHA - these will be worked into your work week.

The ideal candidate must have:
• Previous supervisory/ manager experience in a hospitality setting
• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
• RMLV desirable, but not mandatory
• Strong coffee barista skills
