Our Creative Technology team is currently looking for a part-time Campus Creative Technology Technician to join the team at our City campus. This role is responsible for leading, planning, installing, and maintaining audio, video & lighting (AVL) systems across campus buildings and facilities.
Other aspects of this role include:
Maintenance
Collaborate with the Campus Creative Technology Oversight to manage the Audio, Video & Lighting (AVL) maintenance project list.
Oversee equipment repairs, asset tracking, and ongoing maintenance.
Install and maintain AVL systems, ensuring seamless operation across all campus facilities.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues affecting services, events, and daily operations.
Weekend Services & Events
Partner with Creative & Creative Technology staff to ensure the smooth operation of weekend services and campus events.
Participate in event planning meetings to provide technical expertise.
Act as the primary Creative Technology contact when rostered, leading volunteers and troubleshooting technical issues.
Conduct post-event debriefs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary actions.
Team Leadership & Training
Foster a healthy team culture, ensuring volunteers feel valued, supported, and equipped.
Recruit, roster and schedule volunteers for weekend services, rehearsals, and events.
Develop, implement and conduct training programs to upskill teams in AVL systems and live production roles.
Empower volunteers to take ownership of their roles, grow in their skills, and contribute meaningfully to church life.
Ideally, the successful candidate will bring:
Experience in a church production environment.
Technical expertise in live production (audio, video, lighting) with strong troubleshooting skills.
Experience working with volunteers, including recruiting, rostering, and training.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to build and support a healthy team culture.
Knowledge of AVL systems
Ability to work under pressure and problem-solve in live event settings.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with staff, volunteers, and leadership.
