Our team provides a safe, welcoming, and accessible environment, offering practical and trauma‑informed support tailored to individual needs. About the role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Family Domestic Violence Case Manager to join our team in Broken Hill, NSW. Reporting to the Program Manager, you will work with women and children living in the community or transitioning from refuge, supporting them to achieve safety, stability, and independence.

This is a full‑time permanent position, paid in accordance with SCHADS Level 5.

How you will make an impact

• Provide warm, responsive, and trauma‑informed initial contact to individuals seeking support.
• Deliver culturally appropriate support to First Nations clients, strengthening connection to community, Country, and culture.
• Build trusting relationships that empower clients and promote self‑determination.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of client needs, risks, and circumstances.
• Take preventative action in high‑risk situations and ensure safety planning is prioritised.
• Develop client‑led case plans aligned with TSA case management models and best practice.
• Monitor and review case plans, adjusting interventions as client needs evolve.
• Advocate for clients and support access to community services, housing, and supports.
• Provide case management to community‑based clients transitioning into stable accommodation.
• Maintain accurate and timely client records using TSA systems.
• Identify risks, service gaps, and improvement opportunities, escalating as required.
• Participate in meetings, community engagement activities, and development projects.
• Attend supervision, team meetings, and training (occasional overnight travel may be required)
• Assist with rostered on‑call coverage for after‑hours emergencies and DV response.
• Support day‑to‑day refuge operations, including preparing units, assisting families during intake and exit, and managing donations and supplies.

What you will bring

• Strong commitment to social justice, safety, and empowerment for women and children. You will also have:

• Qualifications in social work, welfare, community development, or a related field; or equivalent experience in community services.
• Experience in case management, ideally within the family violence sector.
• Strong advocacy skills and experience working collaboratively with other services.
• A current National Police Check and Working with Children Check (employee).
• Completion of required TSA training modules (Code of Conduct, WHS, Bullying & Harassment).
• A current, valid Driver’s Licence.
