The Opportunity
As a Case Officer, you will work directly with clients that are experiencing multiple and/or complex needs, who may have children, who may be experiencing homelessness and/or may be in the care of the child protection system. You will be required to undertake referrals and assessments, develop, assess and review support and case plans and work directly with clients.
You will be required to deliver supports to increase life skill development, which may include parenting support, through tailored interventions to assist clients to build their own skills to keep themselves and their families safe and free from harm. You will work collaboratively with Support Workers, service providers and internal/external stakeholders, in order to provide the best possible outcomes for the clients.

Essential Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience in Social Housing and/or delivering crisis accommodation programs including an understanding of asset management procedures.
- Knowledge and understanding of the principles of client centred case management and demonstrated ability in applying such principles.
- Knowledge of issues facing young people who are homeless and / or facing severe barriers to achieving stability and security in their personal lives.
- Demonstrated understanding of community based service delivery models, including client case management practices.
- An ability to interpret and understand Government legislation, and specifically an understanding of relevant legislation, policies and practices that impact on service development and delivery. This includes knowledge of the child protection system.
- Knowledge of, or the ability to acquire, local community support services and networks.
Other Requirements
- Successful applicants will also need to hold a ‘C’ class Open driver licence, State Working with Children Check and hold, or be eligible to apply for, a Licensed Care Suitability Check issued by the QLD Department of Child Safety, Youth Justice and Multicultural Affairs.
- Youturn requires all its workplace participants to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with an approved COVID-19 vaccine, according to up-to-date health advice from the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) or a State or Federal Government; or provide a valid exemption certificate.
