Job Description - Cash Management Officer Perpetual Corporate Trust

  • 12 month Max Term Contract

This is  an exciting opportunity to be part of the wider PCT Markets and Operations team.  In this role you will be responsible for managing client relationships, executing payments and settlements, ensuring compliance, and supporting team operations with accuracy and efficiency.

About the Role

As a Cash Management Officer, you will be responsible for settlements and payments administration:

  • Transaction Monitoring: Oversee and report transactions, coordinate invoice approvals and payments.

  • Trade Validation: Confirm and validate trades.

  • Payment Processing: Handle domestic, international, push through, and back-to-back payments.

  • Liquidity Management: Process liquidity and trade settlements, including setup and matching.

  • Invoice Management: Process client invoices and payments.

  • Corporate Actions: Manage corporate and commercial actions.

  • High-Value Payments: Handle large volume and high-value payments.

  • Debt Negotiation: Negotiate debt payments/settlements in line with client needs and corporate guidelines.

  • Accurate Documentation: Ensure correctness and accuracy of settlement documentation and approvals.

  • Deadline Achievement: Meet internal and external payment/transaction deadlines.

  • Client Statements: Prepare statements for clients.

  • Client Correspondence: Issue correspondence in line with corporate guidelines.

  • Financial Documentation: Verify and collate financial documents.

  • Client Details Maintenance: Keep client details up-to-date within internal systems.

  • Due Diligence: Verify documentation and conduct due diligence.

  • Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve operational and IT issues.

  • Operational Overview: Assist Senior Management in identifying operational trends, issues, and areas for improvement.

  • Team Support: Provide guidance and support to team members across multiple operational areas.

About you

The successful candidate will be able to effectively prioritise and manage deadlines and have experience working in a high volume, fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. In addition, we’re looking for someone with:

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in Financial Services with good knowledge and understanding of payments and settlements in treasury and retail banking functions

  • Excellent client management skills and relationship management experience

  • Experience with International, RTGS, DE and BPAY payments

  • Knowledge of SWIFT, EXIGO, EUROCLEAR, RTGS, and RITS.

  • Solid understanding of AML and KYC

  • Understanding of Corporate Trustee business an advantage.
