Casual Duty Manager - Leading Industry Pay

Rising Sun Hotel South Melbourne. 

Classic family run and owned local pub with a strong food offering. 

The Rising Sun trades seven days and nights a week. Good corporate food trade during the week, with a very strong locals evening patronage.

Restaurant is always full, so looking for a candidate with strong food and beverage service background.

The casual DM position is more focussed towards the Bar areas of the venue. You will need experience in running a busy bar, including wine and cocktail service. Be able to close a bar and cash off the tills entering balances into the POS system. Supervise staff and manage their rostered hours efficiently. 

You will also need extensive experience on the floor including carrying three plates and running the pass.

The successful applicants will have - 

• Strong Bar experience at a supervisors level
• Experience in food service / running the floor
• All round management experience on the floor and in the bar
• Able to lead a team
• Confident in Open and Lock-up procedures
• Function experience
• Demonstrate experience in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in a similar hospitality venue
• Professional and friendly manner with customers and co-workers
• Strong work ethic and a "can do" attitude
• Understand the pub culture and expectations of customer service
• Able and willing to work a flexible roster including nights, weekends, public holidays and closing shifts
• Current RSA certificate
• TAB experience a bonus but training provide
