Band 4,  $36.27 per hour, plus 25% casual loading

Step into history and play a key role in preserving the stories of our region.

Kim barne thaliyu, meaning ‘here yesterday’ in the language of the Wadawurrung people, is Victoria’s largest regional archive and heritage resource centre. As a recognised Public Record Office Victoria Class A Place of Deposit, we safeguard and provide access to permanent public records – from newspapers and maps to photographs, manuscripts, and more.

We’re looking for a motivated team member to help our community connect with history while safeguarding the collection.

What you’ll do:

• Assist visitors and researchers to access and understand the collection.


• Support archival work including cataloguing, digitising, and preserving items.


• Respond to research enquiries online and in person.


• Deliver friendly, professional customer service every day.

About you:

• Strong customer service skills and a people-first approach.


• Comfortable with digital systems, databases, and technology.


• Great attention to detail and care when working with heritage materials.


• Enthusiasm for history and community connection.


• Victorian Certificate of Education (or equivalent).
