Change Manager role with University based in Sydney Your new company This organisation is undergoing a significant transformation in response to financial challenges, including lost revenue and increased costs. A major restructure is underway to reduce costs and improve efficiency, paving the way for a more sustainable operating model. This is a high-profile, high-stakes program designed to deliver change at pace. Your new role As a Change Manager, you will play a critical role in driving execution across a complex and fast-moving program. Reporting into senior leadership, you will join a team of three experienced Change Managers and act as the fourth key member, bringing strategic thinking and hands-on delivery capability. Key responsibilities include:
Leading change execution for a major organisational restructure
Supporting and guiding multiple streams as the program moves from design to implementation
Driving Day 1 readiness and embedding change through Horizon 2 activities
Conducting Change Impact Assessments across functional areas
Developing frameworks, resources, and approaches to steer the work effectively
Identifying integration points and advocating for risk mitigation and benefit realisation
Working within the constraints of an enterprise agreement while maintaining pace and clarity
This role requires someone who thrives in ambiguity, is highly execution-driven, and can operate in a fast-paced environment with minimal hand-holding. What you'll need to succeed
Proven experience as a Change Manager on large-scale, complex programs
Experience working within a university or higher education environment is essential
Ability to hit the ground running and deliver under pressure
Strong strategic thinking combined with a practical, hands-on approach
Experience managing change in environments with limited collaboration and high compliance requirements
Comfortable raising risks with senior leadership and influencing outcomes
Tertiary qualifications are highly regarded due to the speed and complexity of the program
Resilience and adaptability - prior experience in challenging change environments is essential
