Chef Imad is dedicated to preserving his family and ancestors’ culinary heritage through a rich menu. His talent and skills have long singled him out as the best cook among relatives. At their urging, he opened a restaurant so they could come to his feasts as often as they wanted.

We provide a catering service of meals of your choice from our rich menu.The base of Lebanese cuisine are herbs, spices and the freshness of ingredients. Enjoy delicate sauces rich with garlic, olive oil and lemon juice, vegetables, fish, seafood and lamb.
YOUR ROLE: As a Chef at Zayt & Zaatar, you will play a pivotal role in crafting exceptional Middle Eastern dishes that delight our guests and uphold our reputation for culinary excellence. Your creativity, expertise, and leadership will drive the kitchen team to deliver consistently high-quality meals while maintaining a positive and efficient working environment.
You’ll be entrusted with ensuring that every dish served embodies the passion and authenticity that Zayt & Zaatar is known for.
WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
● Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes.
● Assist in designing and updating seasonal menus.
● Monitor and maintain stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
● Order fresh supplies while ensuring they meet quality standards.
● Reduce waste and control costs through efficient inventory management.
● Manage food costs by optimizing ingredient use and minimizing waste.
● Work within budget constraints to maximize profitability.
● Analyze financial reports to track and improve kitchen operations.
● Collaborate with restaurant management to plan events and specials.
● Coordinate with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients.
● Engage with customers during special events to gather feedback and enhance their experience.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
● A minimum qualification of Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or a Diploma in Hospitality Management.
● 1-2 years of experience as a chef or in a similar role within a fast-paced kitchen environment.
● Strong knowledge and passion for Middle Eastern cuisine (highly desirable).
● Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
● Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
● Thorough understanding of food safety standards and kitchen best practices.
● Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
● Creativity and a willingness to experiment with new recipes and techniques.
● Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as required. SCHEDULE: > 38 hours per week > Workplace: Onsite
