Your Role as a Chef – Dining Services

In this position you will provide a high quality and efficient service and will be required to assist with the production of high-quality meals which meet the requirements of the residents and visitors. Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing of large quantities of high-quality food that meets the resident’s nutritional needs and meal preferences. 

• Maintaining hygiene and presentation.  

• Menu and Service planning.  

• Preparing temperature-controlled food.  

• Undertaking of storage and stock rotation of food.  

• Contributing to the maintenance of safe working conditions for all conditions which includes reporting any hazards or risks.

What We’re Looking For

• A completed Certificate III Commercial Cookery 

• Certified Eden Associate or willingness to attain accreditation. 

• Experience in food preparation and cooking in a large-scale commercial environment, preferably in an aged care environment. 

• Knowledge and experience in the maintenance of hygienic equipment and work areas 

• Strong time management and organisational skills.

Essential Requirements

• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status (or as required by legislation and WMQ policy)

• Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ Limited policy.

• Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel for work
