Chef Commercial Kitchen - The Good Grocer IGA Supermarkets - Rapid Progression

We have an exciting opportunity available for a qualified Chef to join The Good Grocer Commercial Team at our production facility in Myaree.

Skills and Experience:

• Qualified Chef or Commercial Cook with extensive experience
• Passionate about food and creating food experiences
• Understanding of waste management through innovation
• Understanding of recipe costing and documentation
• Ability to lead/supervise a kitchen team 
• Food Safety Supervisor certificate is desirable, or willingness to obtain
• A self-motivated and pro-active reliable team player with a good eye for detail and presentation 
• Excellent customer service skills 

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the food preparation process and the preparation of cooked foods
• Minimise waste through new innovative meal options
• Ensure recipes and cooking instructions are followed by all Team Members
• Be proactive by introducing new profitable quality products
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards and requirements in the kitchen and store
