About the Business

Penny Lane is a new and exciting wine bar, family owned and run. 

Offering tapas style plates along with wood fired pizzas. We have achieved excellent reviews with our seasonal menus over the past 16 months and are now looking for a motivated and talented chef to join our team and carry on these high standards. 

Job task and responsibilities

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and proactive full time chef to join our team.

You will be responsible for completing mise-en-place, serving meals, washing up and cleaning the kitchen after the preparation and service.

Skills and Experience

The successful applicant will be confident in their skills, motivated to perform and will need to demonstrate:

• Experience working in a hands-on bistro/bar style kitchen
• Experience working with wood fired pizza oven preferred, but not essential 
• Uncompromising attitude towards high food quality, presentation and safety
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent planning skills and the ability to think on your feet
• Able to develop a seasonal menus and deliver on flavour. 

Trade cooking qualifications are essential.

Operating from Thursday to Sunday.
