Chef Manager

Exciting opportunity for an experienced & passionate Chef Manager to lead the team in running a small site at a school in Snowy Mountains. 
 
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead an amazing and experienced team in a well established education facility. The space operates Monday-Friday as a cafe during the day and is also used out of hours sometimes for private events and functions. The kitchen has all equipment you could need and has a great atmosphere and team culture. 

As Chef Manager, you will bring your expert experience to lead the kitchen team, work with the team to create enticing menus, and manage the entire operation of the facilities kitchen. 

As Kitchen manager, your role will involve:

• Stock control and ordering 
• Staff rostering 
• Budgeting and food costing 
• Effective management of kitchen staff
• Ensure high standard of food is being sent out
• Maintain kitchen presentation and cleanliness
• Maintain safe, secure and healthy workplace environment

About the role: 

Monday - Friday 
$80,000 + super
Extra hours for functions out of school hours can be used as time back over school holidays too. 

About You:

• Australian citizen or resident with full valid work rights
• Qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent preferred
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (mandatory)
• Experience in managing labour, food and operational costs 
• Previous experience in operating kitchens and/or site management 
• Strong communication skills
