About the Role:

An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced Chef Manager to lead and motivate a team of hospitality professionals. At Royal Freemasons our residents look forward to nutritious and delicious meals designed and cooked by our chefs and enjoy a warm and welcoming dining experience. 

The Chef Manager will ensure the highest levels of service in food preparation, hygiene, kitchen services and hospitality standards are met. It is really important that you have a warm and hospitable personality and can relate to older people and deliver a wonderful customer service experience.  

You will be required to manage the production team which includes, Cooks, Kitchen Assistants and oversee rosters, budgets, review of menus, OHS, kitchen hygiene and managing all daily operations within the kitchen.

About You:

The successful candidate requires experience in Hotel, Chef or Hospitality Management. You will be professionally presented, highly organised and self-motivated. 

You will have strong written and oral communication, possess a customer centric approach, and have advanced computer competency.

Key Requirements

• Ideally previous experience within an Aged Care environment
• Certificate in Cookery/Hospitality/Hotel Management
• Computer literacy, documentation skills and ability to meet quality standards
• Ability to lead by example and mentor/train the team.
• Ability to identify, resolve and manage problems
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Smart Phone and Home Internet are desirable
• Hold a police check clearance or have one completed
