We are in need of an analytical Chef Manager to join our fast-paced team at Catering Industries in Surry Hills, Sydney NSW.

Catering Industries Pty Ltd is a leading provider of contracted hospitality services (catering, cleaning and laundry) to Australia's health and aged care, education, government, corporate and resources sector. We currently employ over 2,000 personnel engaged in various operations nationally.
 

About the role

We are seeking a full time dedicated and highly experienced Chef Manager to manage the entire food services operation and kitchen team at our client's facility in Surry Hills, NSW.

  • Roster: 

* Monday - Thursday - Friday - Sunday from 10.30am till 6.00pm.

* Saturday from 9.00am till 5.30pm. 

  • 40 hours per week including weekday and weekend shifts.
  • Weekend and Public Holiday Loadings apply.

Key attributes and responsibilities

  • Prepare Lunch and Dinner for 45 Guests. 
  • 3+ years' experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated and proven budget and cost management experience.
  • High level of QA, WH&S, HACCP and Food Safety knowledge.
  • Previous experience in the design and implementation of nutritionally adequate and appropriate menus      
  • Ability to lead a busy kitchen in a medium - large sized facility.
  • Produce high quality, nutritious and well-presented meals in line with food service guidelines.
  • Be responsible for rostering and day to day supervision/management of team members.
  • Menu design and implementation and computer literacy
  • Excellent client liaison skills, proficient English a must
  • Must have reliable transport.
