Chef Manager Full-Time

We are looking for a Full-Time Chef Manager to join our home at Regis Fawkner, VIC. Regis Fawkner has a profound sense of culture which runs through the entire residence. Our Home is nestled in a local neighbourhood on Major Road in Fawkner and maintains strong links to the community.

This role will include menu planning, catering management, ordering, quality service delivery, and continuous improvement.  

Duties & Responsibilities 

• Overseeing and implementing kitchen compliance including food safety, WHS and quality 
• Leading and motivating the kitchen team 
• Create and execute a four-week cycle menu based on Regis standards. 
• Collect feedback for menu improvement and share it with the Regional Catering Manager 
• Accommodate special dietary requirements with an emphasis on quality and presentation 
• Manage budget requirements in line with the Regis national menu 
• Prepare weekly supply orders, invoices, and ensure proper stock rotation 
• Develop and maintain staff schedules, provide supervision, and support recruitment

Requirements for the role 

• Experience in Aged Care (preferred)
• Staff management and leadership experience
• Understanding of special dietary needs
• Budgeting and time management skills 
• Exceptional customer service mindset
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.  

To work in residential aged care, you will need to provide satisfactory background checks, supply a NDIS worker screening clearance, COVID and flu vaccinations, and certification proof.
