The Role: As our Managing Director, you will be responsible for crafting and executing a strategic vision that aligns with our ambitious objectives. Your primary focus will be on the overall strategic direction and management of the company, including developing and implementing business strategies, overseeing the sales, warehouse, finance, and retail departments, and managing the company's financial performance. Your role will be crucial in managing transformative projects, including the deployment of emerging technologies within the digital and AI space, enhancing our digital infrastructure, and scaling our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive business strategies aligned with the company's vision and mission, setting clear objectives and KPIs to measure success.
• Oversee and guide new business development projects, ensuring they align with customer needs, are financially sound, and can be executed successfully within the company's capabilities and resources.
• Oversee the integration of critical business systems to optimize operations and enhance customer engagement.
• Champion the development and integration of B2B platforms to expand the company's digital presence and reach.
• Leverage advanced data analytics to uncover insights, inform strategic decision-making, and drive operational efficiencies within the wholesale trade environment.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement by developing and implementing employee training and development programs that enhance skills, knowledge, and performance.
• Drive the company's innovation and growth agenda, staying abreast of industry trends and technologies, and championing the adoption of AI and digital solutions to streamline operations and gain a competitive edge.
• Regularly report to the Board of Directors on the company's performance, strategies, and initiatives, seeking input and guidance as needed.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years in a directorial capacity within the B2B trade sector.
• Proficient in administrative and management fundamentals, including strategic planning, resource allocation, and leadership dynamics.
• Adept in customer service excellence, personnel management, and economic and accounting principles.
• Demonstrated proficiency in digital transformation initiatives, particularly within warehouse and customer relationship management systems.
• Demonstrated experience in deploying B2B e-commerce solutions, enhancing the customer's digital journey and expanding the company's online sales footprint.
• Proficient in advanced data analytics, with the ability to leverage tools such as Tableau or SAS to extract insights and inform strategic decision-making.
• A distinguished history of introducing novel product lines to the Australian market.
• Fluency in other languages at an upper-intermediate level is highly regarded.

Preferred Experience:

• Domain expertise in fasteners or construction materials is a plus.
• Proven project management capabilities within a wholesale trading environment.

Reporting To: The Board of Directors

Technology Proficiency:

• Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools such as Tableau, SAS, or equivalent software to drive decision-making and business intelligence.
• Proficiency with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to streamline business operations and facilitate real-time data access.
• Familiarity with the latest in CRM and WMS technologies to enhance customer relationships and optimize warehouse logistics.
• Adept in utilizing project management software to monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of objectives.
• Comfort with digital communication platforms and collaborative tools that enable efficient remote and in-person workflows.

Compensation:

An attractive yearly salary of $181,000, complemented by a performance-based bonus structure.

• Effective resolution of claims across Logistics, Sales, and Warehouse departments.
• Maintenance of stable and efficient company operations.
