We have branches in the Illawarra and Southern Highlands and a staff of 30 across engineering, surveying, town planning, project management, sewer and water servicing coordination and administration departments. LandTeam is known for serving a niche market of loyal clients who believe it is better to be a client of a boutique firm rather than an afterthought for an industry giant. We are currently involved in residential land based projects and we are looking for a civil design engineer who can play a vital role in the design of road, earthworks, drainage, sewer and water, subdivisions on a range of land and housing projects. Our goal is to firstly sustain and then continue to grow our civil engineering department to have it continue to contribute to the success of our clients and indeed LandTeam well into the future – this will be a key purpose of your role.

Qualifications & experience

• Degree qualification in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 5 years domestic Civil Engineering experience
• Desire to obtain CPeng status or in the process of obtaining accreditation (which we will support)
• Have autoCAD drafting skills
• Be technically competent with attention to details skills and you consider changes in final work product to ensure usability by the recipient
• Have strong written and oral communication skills and growing business skill
• Adopt a flexible approach where you can work under pressure, handle interruptions, changes and challenges
• You hold technical job information and skills sufficient to guide, train and mentor colleagues

Tasks & responsibilities

• Civil design using relevant design software
• Liaising and communicating with internal and external stakeholders including clients to facilitate project delivery
• Overseeing projects by engineering investigation, assessment and design and construction management and documentation on projects
• Attend and conduct site inspections
