Civil Project Engineer/Manager - Client Side Infrastructure - Continuous Learning Opportunities

My client is a market leading client-side project management
organisation specialising in civil infrastructure and construction
projects over $1 million in value. With staff based mainly in
the Newcastle and the Mid North Coast areas, they have steadily grown across NSW by providing their client base with high calibre service delivery based on a highly practical and experience-based approach. The current project portfolio
includes a mix of government, roads and water industry clients.

We are open to 6-12 fixed contracts especially for people wanting a sea change up the coast!

Due to continued project growth, the need has arisen for a Senior
Project Engineer or Project Manager who can take take on projects which are
government funded and helping the disaster recovery teams across NSW. Pervious running of projects with local council or TFNSW with a reputable civil contractor or consultancy is advantageous.

Your role will include tasks like:

Communicate diligently and professionally with clients and project stakeholders;
Contractor and Consultant Management
Review tender documentation;
Prepare and manage project budgets and assess building or civil
contractor claims;
Prepare and monitor construction schedules and programs;
Autonomously plan and monitor progress to ensure projects are on
schedule and within quality and cost objectives.


To be considered for the role you will have:

A civil or construction degree essential several years of relevant experience in civil roads, water or rail and delivery of capital works
Design knowledge needed but site management skills are essential
Well-developed consultative skills and demonstrated ability to manage
complex personnel issues
Infrastructure project management or contract management is a must in
medium to large sized projects
