Claims Consultant - Professional Indemnity - Rapid Progression

Our client is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Claims Consultant specialising in Professional Indemnity. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage professional risk indemnity claims, providing a full legal defence and/or resolution of all claims. The successful candidate will be part of a team that values collaboration, commitment and understanding, ensuring an optimum and efficient service to their customers.

Your role:

As a Claims Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in managing professional risk indemnity claims. You will provide comprehensive legal defence or negotiate resolutions for all types of claims. Your ability to provide clear instructions on litigated claims and negotiate effectively for non-litigated ones will be crucial. You will administer claims meticulously while setting reserves that reflect the most probable financial outcomes. Your commitment to delivering exceptional customer service will ensure that customers receive the full protection provided by their policies. Your collaborative approach will contribute significantly towards achieving our objective of being a leader in the insurance industry.



Responsibilities:

• Provide clear instructions and guidelines on litigated claims to legal practitioners to achieve the most effective claims outcome
• Negotiate with claimants for non-litigated claims to ensure the most cost-effective outcome
• Administer claims including cheque processing, auditing and reviews in accordance with the requirements set out in the claims manual
• Set reserves for each claim and notification which reflects the most probable financial outcome of the claim, inclusive of claims handling expenses
