What will you be doing?
- Lead a team of 15 providing technical guidance across the claims lifecycle
- Provide coaching and mentoring support to uplift claims management capability in collaboration with the Team Leaders
- Effectively manage, track and report on portfolio performance, communicating insights and trends
- Develop internal reporting in support of best practice, reserving guidelines and mitigation of risk/exposure
- Review and provide feedback on current claims management practices and procedures
- Optimise the Claims procurement space by building relationships with suppliers to drive value recreation, reduction in scope or standardisation of products
- Analyse and report on supplier performance, supply chain risks and procurement activities to identify opportunities for improvement
What do you need?- 5-10 years Claims management experience - motor products highly regarded
- Extensive experience of the General Insurance Code of Practice
- Demonstrated technical claims experience in understanding relevant policy and legal tests.
- Proven experience in achieving outcomes through mentoring and coaching others
- Strong commercial acumen and analytical mindset
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to think analytically
