THE OPPORTUNITY
This role offers a gifted customer focused Industry Operations Manager the opportunity to develop and maintain close working relationships with key stakeholders – both clients and cleaners. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership/supervisory skills, ensuring our cleaning teams consistently meet our customer’s high standards and requirements.

This role is not your typical 9.00 to 5.00. This role comes with equal parts of responsibility and flexibility. Your working hours are flexible as long as the work gets done to our standards and our clients are exceptionally happy. Flexible hours doesn’t mean short hours though – there is always lots to do.

You will be overseeing both Operations and Customer Service of the Melbourne business.

In the Operations part of the role, you will be responsible for supporting our area managers, supervisors and cleaners in a variety of ways to assist them to uphold our promise of exceptional service delivery.

In the Customer Service role, you will be responsible for the on boarding of new clients, performing site inspections and responding to delivering high quality customer interaction to our valued clients.

We are looking for someone who is great at building client relationships and is passionate about striving for excellence in delivering consistently high-quality customer service to their clients.

You will also be someone who is a responsive and decisive problem solver, with a strong ability to self-manage.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Overall leadership of the Operations of the business, ensuring raving reviews of our clients and establishing an environment that encourages continuous improvement and quality outcomes
  • Developing, implementing and monitoring day to day operational systems and processes with a continuous improvement focus
  • Undertake auditing of client sites, and identify and correct areas of concern in a timely manner and managing cleaning escalations to ensure teams are not impacted
  • Maintaining and strengthening key client relationships
  • Implement Training modules and train the supervisors to train the cleaners
  • Reviewing, Setting and Managing Team Leader and Contractor responsibilities and KPI’s
  • Costings analysis of new and existing clients
  • Develop and implement key initiatives to drive business growth
  • Identify and drive efficiencies throughout the business
  • Ensure OH&S compliance through correct application and implementation of OH&S policies and procedures
  • Attending all walkthroughs and mobilising up new clients.
  • Regular audits and immediate implementation ensuring Quality Outcomes
  • Ensure that daily cleaning services are delivered safely, efficiently and to 100% of specifications & compliance
  • Develop a strong safety culture across all operations

 

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • Previous Cleaning or Facilities Industry experience
  • Full understanding of Integrated Management System (IMS) 
  • Ability to influence and engage with both internal and external stakeholders
  • A mind and focus on Innovation, Sustainability and Social Responsibility 
  • Experience with managing commercial Cleaning Operations, including training and delivering outcomes. Applicants with formal qualifications in cleaning operations will be highly regarded
  • Excellent decision making, problem-solving and resolution skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Sound understanding of workplace safety.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and written
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
  • Current and valid driver's license

 

Hours of work may include some weekend, public holiday, early morning or night shifts.

As Operations Manager you will report directly to the Managing Director.

Full driver’s license.

Successful applicant will be required to obtain a police check, WWCC and are subject to random drug test.
