What we’re looking for

A friendly, articulate, well-presented and motivated accounting services professional based in Melbourne looking for a leadership role that will provide career development and advancement opportunities to be an equity partner in the future.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 8 to 10 years’ proven experience in a senior role in Australian Accounting Practice and have the ambition to expand their professional career.

Key Responsibilities

• Client management and service excellence
• Compliance and advisory services for a portfolio of clients 
• Reviewing work completed by tax and business services accountants 
• Maintaining high level technical skills and knowledge and performing tasks in accordance with taxation and legislative requirements and standards
• Preparation of income tax returns for Individuals, Companies, Trusts and Partnerships
• Advising on, and establishing appropriate client structures including Company, Trust and SMSF.
• Supervision and mentoring of junior team members.
• Managing workflow and prioritizing tasks.
• Develop long-term goals for overall Business development.

Required Skills

• Minimum 8 to 10 years’ experience in an Australian Accounting/taxation role.
• Degree CA qualified.
• Tax agent license preferred. 
• Excellent accounting and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills including verbal & writing skills.
• Working knowledge of Xero, Xero Practice Manager, and Class Super.
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of software.
• Open to learning new software and techniques.
• Workflow, team management and mentoring
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Offers a positive contribution to firm culture.
