The Opportunity Providing for the demonstration (including demonstration design and delivery) of compelling Salesforce and related solutions to Gentrack customers in energy and utility sectors, adhering to Gentrack Salesforce product, enterprise, and application architecture principles for the system being promoted in accordance with the sales strategies. Specialist and subject matter expert in Salesforce E&U, integration, architecture, planning, scoping, and solution design & demonstration in a utilities environment. Liaise and integrate with the Gentrack global Salesforce teams, product teams, global demonstration teams, and support/sales teams to leverage global capability where required to strengthen local solution designs and architectures to streamline demonstration (and ultimate project) design and development efforts where possible.
The Specifics
Operational
· Working with customers and other Architects, particularly on larger sales opportunities, to define requirements and specifying optimum demonstrations for solutions using Salesforce E&U as a CRM interface to Gentrack products for energy and utilities customers.
· Building, extending, and enhancing our demonstration suite of Salesforce CRM solutions for customers in the utilities space
· Participating in discovery activities pre-sales and including post-sales where required.
· Staying up to date on industry trends in Salesforce and utilities sectors
· Ability to leverage broader Salesforce solution benefits to unlock value from Gentrack’s integrations including sales, service, analytics, AI, and other Salesforce solutions.
· Supporting pre-sales Salesforce E&U environments and demonstration capabilities including building for the future and for re-use.
· Maintaining current knowledge of Gentrack business plans, product and future developments
· Providing technical and product consulting both internally and externally
· Technical architecture and review of Salesforce E&U and Gentrack solutions for use in cost estimation
· Ongoing CPD as appropriate
Sales
· Significant input into preparing project demonstrations & valued-based proposals as required
· Customer-facing presentations, demonstrations, and requirements gathering and alignment to OOTB product and gap analysis via discovery-based activities.
· Industry event attendance
Customer Service
· Contributing towards long-term business relationships between Gentrack and customers
· Promoting Gentrack’s products and solutions to customers and endorsing best practise amongst the Gentrack user group
Compliance
· Reviewing solutions for compliance to product architecture and documenting outcomes
· Supporting the internal quality and control requirements defined by company policy
· To abide to the Compliance Policies and Procedures of the Company.
Occupational H&S
· Take reasonable care of your own and other people’s Health & Safety in the workplace.
· Report hazards in your work or in your work environment that may be putting your or anyone else’s Health & Safety at risk
Additional Tasks
· Is capable and available to handle time sensitive situations including on-call and out-of-hours work
· This role entails both domestic and some international travel
What we're looking for
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Salesforce including system/solution architecture level roles and/or system integration of large implementation projects with a demonstrated track record with Salesforce and particularly Salesforce E&U (or relevant industries cloud) in an energy or utilities context strongly preferred.
• Systems integration of Salesforce E&U (or industries cloud) solutions in software development with a focus on billing, call center operations, and customer engagement within a Salesforce ecosystem
• Industry knowledge in Energy and Utilities space including typical workflows, data concepts, and retailer operations.
• Salesforce E&U or industries cloud experience required
• Relevant Salesforce Solutions Architect Certification (Application, B2C, or B2B) held or study plan/partial competency underway strongly preferred including E&U/industries cloud toolchains (flex card, omniscript, and LWC creation).
• High energy level and work ethic
• Methodical problem solving and analysis skills
• Attention to detail and complex problem solving
• Customer focused with strong presentation skills including demonstrations and detailed workshop facilitation.
• Mentorship and coaching
• Bachelor Degree, ICT or similar
• Utilities knowledge (energy and/or water) – required.
• Technical specification writing
• Experience in Salesforce solutions including Salesforce ServiceCloud Voice/IVR integration, Marketing Cloud, AgentForce, and Experience Cloud strongly valued
• Strong customer presentation skills
