Job Description - Client Support Specialist - Financial Planning & Superannuation - Positive Work Culture

Our Financial Planning team specialises in all aspects of financial planning including superannuation, wealth creation, risk insurance, retirement planning and Self Managed Super Funds and as a result of continued growth we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and professional Client Support Specialist to join our financial planning division. 

The Role

Reporting to the Director of Financial Planning, your responsibilities will include:

  • Client communication liaison - this role is a central point of contact - we want our clients to feel exceptionally well supported and taken care of
  • Providing end to end SMSF service alongside the Adviser including set up & establishment, administration and auditing
  • Database management – staying on top of the where we are at with each task and with each client
  • Conducting research on client holdings – with 100% accuracy
  • Collating SOA's for client presentations – the value is in the detail, but we still want it to look good!
  • Manage the implementation of all client files for all superannuation, investment and insurance applications across a variety of platforms 
  • Monitor and track all insurance applications and liaise with insurance providers as required
  • Maintaining the review register of client appointments – helping our clients sleep better at night by staying on track
  • Submission of client's documents and applications as required including investment transactions, changes to client's accounts or policies
  • Ongoing maintenance of client data base and communication records
  • File management & compliance of files  
  • Undertake general administrative tasks, scheduling appointments for planners or team as required, ongoing communication with clients, customer service, attend to incoming and outgoing calls, client communication
  • Co-ordinating and maintaining diary of appointments
  • Lodgement of new business applications and the follow up of Fund Manager documentation – getting all items finalised and in order

Experience, Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience working with Platforms, Insurance, Investments, and SMSF's – are you confident in this environment? Accuracy is critical.
  • Self Managed Super Fund administration experience highly regarded (but not essential)
  • Good working knowledge of Xplan financial planning software
  • A dynamic and cohesive approach to understanding client expectations
  • Warm, caring and friendly personality with a strong desire for positive outcomes
  • RG146 is preferred but not essential
  • Very strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Strong understanding of the Financial Planning processes and systems
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products - intermediate to advanced
  • Previous significant experience within the Financial Planning industry in a support/management/advice role would be beneficial
  • A real passion and enthusiasm for dealing with clients
