Clinic Manager, Heart and Vascular, Calvary Adelaide Hospital

You will be in charge of leading and managing the Heart & Vascular clinic at Calvary Adelaide Hospital. You will be required to have a strong focus on delivering superior customer service for our doctors and patients whilst facilitating optimal patient work flow. At times, you may need to resolve issues that arise, specifically relating to the Calvary Adelaide Hospital clinic.

Key objectives of the role are to:

Take responsibility and be accountable for the efficient operations of the clinic which include day to day activities from reception to the clinical areas

Liaise closely with cardiologists, technologists, clerical staff, hospital staff and our managers from other clinic branches

Provide a high level of leadership to the clerical and technical teams to consistently produce quality results, maximising workflow, using resources efficiently and ensuring doctors and referrers and patient care are given high priority

To be successful in this role, it is essential that you can demonstrate the following capabilities, experience and personal attributes:

An outgoing friendly personality

A passion for excellence in customer service

Create work schedules and rosters

Manage and ensure completion of patient fees and billing processes

Build and maintain a network of strong relationships with referring doctors and GP practice managers

Ability to handle a high pressure environment and work through difficult situations to achieve good outcomes

Possess excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)

Proficiency working with medical based information systems

Strong problem solving abilities

Proven reliability and strong work ethic

This role requires an experienced professional who can lead by example, has a natural ability to influence others and demonstrates tact, discretion and utmost professionalism in communicating with others.

Previous managerial experience in an administrative role and leading staff within the medical field is required. Salary will be negotiated with the successful applicant based on skills and experience. Part time applicants will be considered, depending on level of availability.
