An exciting opportunity is available for a passionate Theatre Clinical Educator to join St John of God Bunbury Hospital, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Theatre workforce. Working closely with Perioperative Services Manager and the Theatre Learderhsip teadm, department managers, caregivers and the Learning and Development Coordinator, you will deliver engaging, high-quality education programs, including Graduate Programs, that drive excellence in surgical and perioperative care. You will lead the design, implementation and evaluation of contemporary, evidence-based learning initiatives tailored specifically to the theatre environment, fostering professional growth and continuous improvement. If you are a dedicated theatre professional with a passion for developing others and enhancing patient outcomes in a dynamic surgical setting, this role offers a highly rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
The Position
You will be currently registered as a Health Practitioner with AHPRA and demonstrate a strong commitment to ongoing personal and professional development, supported by a current CPD record or Professional Practice Portfolio. You will have a genuine passion for educating others, with proven experience delivering small‑group education sessions and presentations, and a sound understanding of adult learning principles. Your ability to motivate, support and encourage caregivers to develop their skills and careers will be key to your success.
You will bring strong interpersonal, communication and mentoring or coaching skills, allowing you to engage effectively with a diverse workforce. You will be well organised, with excellent time management abilities, and confident in conflict resolution, negotiation and problem‑solving. Experience or knowledge of quality improvement, accreditation and licensing processes, along with proficiency in Learning Management Systems and Microsoft Office applications, will enable you to support safe, high‑quality care and continuous improvement.
