Clinical Haematologist - full time wanted for a specialist cancer centre on the Sunshine Coast.

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled FRACP-qualified Clinical Haematologist to join a rapidly expanding private cancer centre on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland—just a short drive from Brisbane. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-performing, patient-focused team in a vibrant and desirable location. With 80% private billing, competitive remuneration (OTE $500,000–$1,000,000 annually), and the flexibility to focus on your area of clinical interest, you’ll be able to make a meaningful impact from day one. The centre provides an established patient base, strong team support, and mentorship opportunities, including pathways for fourth-year haematology trainees. Whether you're an experienced specialist or an emerging clinician, this role supports professional growth in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive clinical care to patients with haematological malignancies and non-malignant blood disorders.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary oncology teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.

  • Conduct diagnostic evaluation, monitoring, and follow-up of complex haematological cases.

  • Contribute to the development and refinement of clinical protocols and service delivery.

  • Support training and mentorship of junior medical staff and haematology trainees.

  • Participate in ongoing quality improvement and research initiatives as appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Full AHPRA Specialist registration or eligibility.

  • FRACP qualification in Clinical Haematology (or equivalent).

  • Proven experience in clinical haematology, preferably in a tertiary or specialist cancer centre setting.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centred approach.

  • Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

  • Willingness to relocate or adapt to flexible scheduling; restraints of trade will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Opportunity for Fourth-Year Haematology Graduates:

  • Structured support and mentorship available for eligible fourth-year trainees.

  • Clear pathway to clinical independence within a growing, supportive practice.
