Job Description - Clinical Nurse Consultant - Multiple Sites

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant to join the Sydney Region team. The role involves sharing your skills across 4 residential facilities and home care. This opportunity will suit an individual with a strong nursing background, with current clinical skills and an aged care focus. Facility management experience will be highly regarded.

The Role:

Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be responsible for:

Conducting clinical and site audits

Undertaking Resident assessments and assisting in the development of care plans.

Providing expert, best practice advice on clinical issues and areas of risk within the region.

Leading regional clinical governance meetings and initiatives.

Working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team

Providing clinical support to Registered Nurses

Coordinating and promoting continuous improvement processes and systems to staff

Ensuring compliance to the Aged Care Legislation and Quality Standards

Acting in facility management positions when required.

Requirements

Current nursing registration with AHPRA

At least 5 yearsâ experience in the aged care sector at RN level or higher.

At least 2 yearsâ experience as a CNC or similar

Experience in managing a facility in a FM or CM capacity (preferred)

Extensive hands-on clinical care experience in an aged care setting

Comprehensive knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards.

Superior communication skills both verbal and written are crucial for this role

High level reporting (written and verbal) and analytical skills

Advanced computer skills

Happy to travel across the Greater Sydney area to visit facilities.

Own car and current driverâs license is essential.
