Your next career opportunity
In this part-time continuing role, you will teach procedural, resuscitation and simulation skills to Melbourne MD students. You will coordinate high-quality teaching sessions, support assessments and contribute to educational innovation within a leading clinical school.
What you will deliver:
Deliver high-quality teaching in procedural skills, resuscitation medicine and simulation to groups of Melbourne MD students.
Plan, timetable and organise simulation and skills sessions, including preparing equipment, materials and clinical teaching environments.
Provide formative feedback and summative assessment, including bedside tutorials and supervision of procedures on patients.
Maintain stock control of procedural equipment and consumables, and support examinations and other administrative teaching activities.
Collaborate with clinical, simulation and academic colleagues, contributing to research, curriculum review and broader Clinical School activities.
You may be a great fit if you:
Hold current Division 1 Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA and substantial acute hospital clinical experience.
Demonstrate experience teaching procedural and resuscitation skills, including supervising students performing invasive procedures.
Apply varied, innovative teaching methods to engage diverse learners in simulation and bedside clinical environments.
Build effective working relationships with medical, nursing, simulation and professional staff across hospital and university settings.
Manage timetabling, stock control and teaching administration with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Bring or be willing to develop Advanced Life Support, education qualifications and simulation-based education expertise.
