Job Description - Clinical Systems Specialist




The Clinical Systems Specialist role ensures that the organisations clinical care systems and procedures are designed and delivered to support excellence in clinical services, consistent with the mission, philosophy, and values of the organisation. 







Your Contribution







  • Ensure the effective operation, maintenance and improvement of all Clinical Systems and Operational applications (including eCase, PPASS-3, Moving on Audits, Care Page, Clinical Dashboard, Choice Aged Care Clinical Dashboard).

  • Identify gaps in clinical practice and care delivery via quality data analysis

  • Provide system reporting data to the executive team to enable key decision-making

  • Provide relevant system information, updates, coaching and ongoing support to all users to ensure compliance with the aged care standards






















Requirements



  • Experience in residential aged care

  • Demonstrated experience in using data to monitor performance indicators and continuous improvement initiatives in a clinical setting

  • Experience in mentoring and coaching staff in the use of clinical information systems.

  • Extensive working knowledge with ECase Clinical Management System

  • Current AHPRA registration as a health professional or extensive aged care / healthcare industry experience

  • Relevant tertiary management or leadership qualifications (desirable)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to project manage and provide advice on the implementation of complex systems and clinical software solutions

  • Demonstrated knowledge of legislation and regulatory requirements for residential services and knowledge and understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards.

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – a demonstrated ability to utilise Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Exceptional customer service and/or stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Willing and able to travel intrastate to various facilities as and when required

  • A National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)

  • Up-to-date Influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations in line with current requirements (or willingness to obtain)
