Contract Cloud Architect working for an insurance firm Your new companyThe firm is undergoing a major cloud transformation, exiting traditional data centres and migrating business-critical applications to public cloud platforms. They are seeking a Senior Cloud Solution Architect to lead and support this journey, working across both AWS and Azure environments.ou'll collaborate closely with vendors, internal teams, and stakeholders to ensure seamless cloud adoption and architecture excellence.Your new role

• Lead solution architecture for cloud migration and transformation projects across AWS and Azure.
• Design infrastructure solutions with a strong focus on security, traffic flow, and enterprise architecture standards.
• Collaborate with application teams to rearchitect legacy systems for cloud readiness.
• Engage with vendors (AWS, Azure, SaaS) to align solutions with best practices and business needs.
• Present architecture designs effectively, including security zones and traffic flow diagrams.

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect in large enterprise environments.
• Strong background in infrastructure architecture with deep understanding of cloud security principles.
• Hands-on experience with both AWS and Azure - not limited to one platform.
• Ability to design and present architecture diagrams, especially around traffic flow and security zones.
• Experience working with vendors and managing stakeholder relationships.
• Background in Financial Services (FS) - banking or insurance - is preferred but not essential.
