Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world.  In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in steelmaking coal and manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway in North West Queensland and Western Australia

Excavator Operators – Capcoal Mine

We are currently seeking experienced Excavator Operators to assist our mining production teams at Capcoal Mine in Middlemount.  We have permanent full-time roles available, working on a 7/7 Day Night Roster.

The successful applicants will be able to demonstrate a record of working safely and a commitment to safe working practices. You will be accountable for your actions and output, also display a willingness to learn new skills and to work to the best of your ability. Along with a commitment to working together as part of a team to achieve business objectives and the ability to work shift work.

Relevant skills, knowledge and experience required for this role include:

• Experience on Large Mining Excavators
• Experience Dozer skill
• Strong safety focus

You will display excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with being a team player in safely achieving targets.
