Cold Storage Sort Forklift Driver - Casual - Costco Depot

Job Duties/Essential Functions

• Wrapping and unwrapping the pallets
• Sorting the pallets and labelling as required (some heavy lifting involved)
• RF Scanning
• Operating electric pallet jack to move pallets of received and sorted merchandise to shipping lanes or to other areas of the depot
• General upkeep of depot and grounds
• Other duties as directed
• Must be able to work in split shift / rotating roster / Saturdays
• Must have warehousing experience and physically fit
• Chiller/Cold Storage Distribution experience is an advantage. Chiller/Freezer temperature work required (between 5 to -18 degrees)
• Must be versatile and keen to work in both Ambient & Chiller and in different departments as per business needs.

Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery

• Forklift, EPJ, Computer, printer, phone, calculator, handheld two-way radio.

Non-Essential functions

• Assists in other departments where necessary.

Qualifications 

• Education/Training: Higher School Certificate preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications: Must have Forklift Licence
• Knowledge/Skills: Basic Computer Skills
• Other Skills and Abilities: Chiller/Cold Storage Distribution experience is an advantage.
