Role
The Collections Librarian reports to the Manager Collections and Reader Experience. Serials management, accessioning and claims, ensuring accurate records are maintained Assist with the renewal process of all LLV subscriptions, both electronic and hard copy Conduct the updating and maintaining of records in the Library Management System (LMS), the library website, and collections spreadsheets, etc. Collection management, including the weeding and rearrangement of collections Cataloguing (copy cataloguing) onto the LMS and the end-processing of hard copy items for all sites Order items for the library collections and work with external suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials, following up with supplier errors, chasing up missing items, etc. Work closely with the Manager Collections on the evaluation of existing and potential future resources Provide technical advice and practical assistance to Library staff and users on matters relating to the library's collection, including subscriptions management Provide reference services, which includes weekly desk shifts rostered at the Supreme Court Library reference desk, responding to requests across the various service points of the library as required Support the library collection and information services Assist staff and clients in using a range of technologies, including library management systems (SirsiDynix), content management systems, MS Office, and online databases Seek out emerging trends and developments in the library sector, publishing industry and digital communications tools and strategies, and bring them to the attention of managers and staff Actively contribute to library team meetings, trainings, seminars, etc. About You
Relevant qualifications in Librarianship desirable. Eligibility for (professional) membership of ALIA desirable. Good Excel skills desirable. Knowledge of SrisiDynix back and front ends desirable. How to apply
