Commercial Accountant

COMMERCIAL ACCOUNTANT - CBD OFFICE 3 DAYS ON SITE

You'll be responsible for analysing financial performance and delivering actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. The role involves ownership of budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.

You will partner closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to drive financial strategies, improve performance, and optimise business outcomes. This is a dynamic opportunity where your analytical capability and commercial acumen will directly contribute to organisational success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ownership of month-end P&L, including journals, accruals, prepayments, leave liabilities, director loans, and balance sheet reconciliations across multiple entities
• Budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• KPI tracking and dashboard reporting for senior leadership and department heads
• Commercial and executive reporting, including cost centre analysis and key P&L drivers

About You:

• Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; CA or CPA qualified
• 3-4 years post-qualification experience with strong commercial and financial acumen
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills with strong attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to influence outcomes
• Customer-focused mindset with a proactive approach to improving results
• Experience with Power BI and Oracle EPM/Hyperion (desirable, not essential)
• Experience working across multi-entity environments (highly regarded)
