About the Opportunity


We’re looking for a commercially astute and collaborative Commercial Manager – Non Food and Private Label to support the GM National Commercial and Head of Trade. This role will provide strategic insight and decision support across Category and Private Label teams, driving trading performance and delivering against key financial metrics.


 


In this Role


• Manage P&L delivery across sales, income, and working capital to budget
• Lead weekly sales analysis by segment, category, state, and supplier
• Track supplier profitability and income metrics, including co-op investment


• Oversee pricing models to balance competitiveness with margin expectations
• Partner with supply chain to monitor stock levels and mitigate aged stock risk
• Support forecasting and budgeting processes across states and channels
• Drive NPD performance and identify distribution growth opportunities
• Manage and mentor two direct reports, aligning priorities and performance


 


You’re Likely a Match If


• Have strong financial modelling and commercial analysis skills
• Understand category management principles, pricing strategy and management, profit drivers
• Bring experience in supplier negotiations and trading term setup


• Are confident in managing budgets and identifying financial risks/opportunities
• Have a collaborative mindset and strong stakeholder management skills
• Hold a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Are skilled in translating insights into actionable plans
• Have experience in retail, FMCG, or wholesale environments
