Job Description - Commercial Manager

About the role
The role is responsible for executing complex contract procurement, stakeholder management and commercial strategy across a large portfolio of renewable assets. Take ownership of key stakeholder relationships through the full lifecycle of large scale wind, solar and BESS projects and take part in a supportive work culture where dedication is generously rewarded. Responsibilities

  • Lead pre award negotiation of standard terms and service level agreements with various stakeholders in an EPC framework
  • Manage the procurement of various key contracts, resolving issues and addressing disputes in line with business strategic goals
  • Coordinate activities related to major delivery contracts, managing tendering process and implementing project procurement strategy
  • Provide commercial advice for performance improvement, optimising contractual terms and conditions for risk management
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with various stakeholders over the project lifecycle
  • Adhere to relevant regulatory and compliance obligations, complying with health, safety, and environmental requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Law, Finance, Engineering or related study
  • Proven track record of negotiating high value multi-disciplinary EPC contracts
  • Multiple years’ experience relevant to role requirementswithin the renewable energy industry, infrastructure, O&G or power projects
  • Sound commercial acumen through end-to-end delivery of contract strategy development, contract negotiation and contract administration
  • Sound leadership skills and ability to inspire, support and optimise team performance
  • Strong interpersonal skillset and proven ability and credibility to influence outcomes with internal and external stakeholders
  • Capacity to achieve and exceed in complex and sometimes volatile matrix environments
