Job description:

Our client, a mining company in West Perth, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their team. This permanent full-time role is essential for managing the company's accounts payable functions and ensuring smooth payroll operations.

• Liaise with HR Manager, Site managers and employees to collate leave forms, rosters, workers compensation forms, and provide monthly leave reports and any relevant information required for payroll preparation.
• Respond to payroll and leave queries from employees.
• Serve as centralised point of contact between the Company and the outsource payroll provider
• Prepare regular (likely weekly, but as agreed) collations of payroll documentation for the benefit of the outsource payroll provider
• Assist with payroll preparations-bi-monthly and Monthly cycles
• Assist with collating any documentation relating to payroll as requested by the business
• Accounts Payable invoice processing
• Approval of invoices out of Itrack system
• Accounts Payable supplier/payment queries
• Accounts Payable supplier payments & scheduling
• Update weekly cash flow forecast
• ERP assistance/training for site personnel
• Follow Authority Delegation Matrix
• Training and supervision of AP junior
• Accounts Receivable invoice processing
• Purchase order maintenance
• New supplier entry
• Credit card reconciliations and entry
• Petty cash reconciliation and entry
• Liaising with purchasing officer
• Liaising with mine site managers/approvers
• Other ad hoc duties

Qualifications:

• Pronto Experience is a must
• Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
• Well-organised, flexible
• Strong analytical skills
• Knowledge of Pronto is beneficial
• Excellent interpersonal skills with suppliers and management
• Working well under pressure
