About the role:

We are looking to appoint a talented Commercial Superintendent for an expanding mining company with quality coal mining assets spread throughout Central Qld. This site-based opportunity will see you be accountable for, but not limited to overseeing the operations finances and reporting, life of mine financial plans, annual budgets as well as monthly actual results and forecasting.

About you:

You will be economically savvy and have a passion for accounting, finance, continuous improvement as well as identifying and implementing cost saving initiatives. Your tertiary Accounting / Finance qualifications and eye for detail will allow you to analyse operational costs and offer recommendations to ensure maximum profit is obtained for the business. You will liaise directly with various managers through departmental cost review meetings, offering advice to ensure financial awareness. You will analyse all financial information and identify risks, manage month end, reconcile and ensure accuracy of financial data, review account reconciliations and offer commentary supporting business decisions. Mine site financials will be managed within the sites ERP system and you will ensure its integrity, as well as that of the forecasting reporting tools, mitigating risks. CPA or CA qualifications highly regarded as is the ability to proactively engage with internal and external stakeholders to develop strong working relationships.
