Join IAG as an Underwriter supporting our SME portfolio. In this role, you’ll assess, price and determine insurance risk conditions while delivering exceptional service to our broker partners.

Success comes from strong communication skills, a customer‑focused mindset, and the ability to build effective relationships with brokers and internal stakeholders.

These are two permanent full-time role based in Naarm (Melbourne) or Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney).

What You'll Do

• Assess, price and determine the conditions of insurance risks across the SME Products – Business Package, Office Package, Commercial Motor and Padlock (Property Owners)

• Apply underwriting product guidelines and ensure all decisions align with national policies, governance requirements and agreed protocols.

• Deliver timely, high‑quality service and support to broker partners

• Build and maintain effective working relationships with brokers and internal stakeholders to support outstanding underwriting outcomes.

What You'll Bring

• Underwriting and/or insurance claims experience to support effective risk assessment and decision‑making.

• Have a customer focused mindset with good verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with brokers and internal stakeholders.

• Technical underwriting capability is beneficial but not essential
