Commis Chef - Sokyo

As a Commis Chef  team at The Star Sydney, you will be given the opportunity to work alongside some of the best Chefs in our award winning, hatted restaurant Sokyo!

A few of your responsibilities:

• Responsible for the smooth operation of your allocated work-station
• Follow directions from senior kitchen team
• Advise management of all stock requirements
• Conduct mentoring and support for Cooks and Apprentice Chefs

What are we looking for:

• Certificate in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
• Full work rights and flexible availability for a full time position
• Have experience working in a busy and fast-paced kitchen (high end Japanese highly regarded)
• The ability to effectively and efficiently coordinate and work as part of the team
• Have the right "can do"-attitude and willingness to learn new cuisines and techniques
