About the Role

The primary focus of the Communications Advisor is to manage, measure and improve key communication channels and identify opportunities to engage employees through communications that create clarity and alignment for key enterprise-wide non financial risk aligned strategic initiatives. Day-to-day this includes developing, publishing and distributing engaging written and visual content across ANZ’s internal communications channels including Max (intranet), Weekly Wrap (internal newsletter), Viva Engage (internal social collaboration tool), and external channels such as LinkedIn. This role also includes the ongoing management of the content on these channels.

What will your day look like?


As a Communications Advisor you will:



  • Document and maintain content on all the channels being used to communicate and engage with the non financial risk (NFR or PACT – People, Accountability, Customers, Trust) program. 

  • Under the direction of senior team members, develop communications to support the NFR program of work through ANZ’s internal channels including Max, Viva Engage, Weekly Wrap as well as new channels.

  • Support the development of communications plans to for the NFR program, providing tools to support people leaders such as talking points and people leader guides.

  • Work collaboratively with program communications team members and divisional stakeholders to ensure program communications are aligned to existing bank’s strategic priorities and activities. 

  • Use feedback, analytics and survey data to continuously improve communication approaches. 

  • Assist with the development of a communication reporting framework that captures key activities, metrics and qualitative insights.

  • Support implementation of initiatives to deliver ANZ’s strategic agenda and help support better outcomes for customers.

  • Build networks and maintain relationships across Communications and Public Affairs and the PACT program team, and more broadly across the organisation. 


 


 

What will you bring?


To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:



  • Minimum five years of experience in communications.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills.

  • Organised, able to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.

  • Project coordination experience, including the demonstrated ability to plan, co-ordinate, research and deliver projects on time and on budget. 

  • Event management experience.

  • Experience using databases in the context of program delivery, training and reporting.

  • Creative, able to identify opportunities to improve processes.

  • Strong judgement and ability to determine potential reputational risk, identify potential issues and plans to address them.

  • Experience in webcast production, employee communications platforms.  

  • Skills in video production (both filming and editing) and creative design and execution.
