Job Description - Community Registered Nurse

Location: Port Macquarie and surrounding areas

Salary:  + 12% Super + Not-for-profit tax benefits - salary packaging of up to $15,900 per annum

About the role:

As a Registered Nurse at RSL LifeCare, every day you’re empowered to make a meaningful difference to people’s lives. Within our supportive work environment your skills and compassion are valued. You will have the opportunity to: 

  • Deliver clinical care in the home environment supporting clients to stay living in their home and connected to their community

  • Embody a person-centred approach, recognising and promoting the individual’s unique goals and preferences

  • Ensure thorough clinical assessment, planning, monitoring, and evaluation of care delivered

  • Organise and conduct case conferences and maintain open communications with clients and their families, carers and authorised representatives

  •  Effectively prioritise client needs in collaboration with other medical and health professionals as required

About You: 

  • You demonstrate compassion, empathy and advocacy

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound decision-making 

  • Ability to work efficiently by optimising the use of technology within your role as well as prioritising your time effectively across your caseload

  • Current AHPRA registration and Australian Working Rights

  • Current valid driver’s license and a licensed, comprehensively insured and road worthy motor vehicle

It is a mandatory requirement for a team member working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of the role. Clearances must be verified prior to commencing employment with RSL LifeCare.
