Job Description - Community Social Visit Volunteer- Share a Cuppa and a Chat in Carey Bay NSW

Are you a friendly, compassionate person who loves a good chat and wants to make a meaningful difference?

We're looking for a volunteer to brighten the day of a lovely older gentleman living in Carey Bay. A former professional ballroom dancer, he enjoys sharing stories from his dancing days and loves chatting about sport – especially bowls, cricket, soccer, and fishing.

He’d really enjoy a friendly face to drop in for a cuppa and a conversation, either weekly or fortnightly.

If you have an hour or two to spare, and would like to build a genuine connection while making someone’s day, we’d love to hear from you!

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements

18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare • Working with Vulnerable people check

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
