About the Role - Community Support Worker

We are seeking Community Support Workers to join our team in casual positions, with opportunities for part-time and full-time roles. Your primary responsibility will be to support NDIS participants living with disabilities in their homes and communities. Available shifts span from Monday to Sunday.

A Day in the Life of a Community Support Worker

No two days are the same in this fast-paced and dynamic role. Your daily tasks may include:

• Community Support: Accompanying clients on community outings such as shopping trips, excursions, lunches, appointments, and goal-based activities.
• Transport: Escorting clients to medical and allied health appointments, hospital visits, and respite care.
• Domestic Support: Ensuring a safe, clean, and sanitized environment for clients by cleaning, tidying, and changing bedding.
• Food Preparation: Preparing, cooking, and serving meals.

About You

We are looking for energetic Community Support Workers who value teamwork and are passionate about helping individuals with various disabilities. Our ideal Support Worker is motivated to explore new activities and hobbies with clients. We welcome applicants of all ages to meet the diverse needs of our clients across the Perth Metro area (North, South, East, and West of the river).

• Desirable Experience: High-intensity support and experience working with clients on the Autism Spectrum.
• Willingness to Travel: Flexibility to travel as needed.

• NDIS Workers Screening (mandatory)
• Working with Children Check (mandatory)
• Reliable vehicle with registration and insurance (mandatory)
• Driver's License (mandatory)
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate (mandatory)
• Supporting Effective Communication Module Certificate (mandatory)
• Supporting Safe and Enjoyable Meals Module Certificate (mandatory)
• New Worker NDIS Induction Module Certificate (mandatory)
• Infection Prevention and Control Training Certificate (mandatory)
• Current HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (mandatory)
• Current HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support (mandatory)
• Current HLTAID011 Provide First Aid (mandatory)
