Companion Walks with an Elderly Resident in care at HammondCare Darlinghurst

Join her for a gentle walk around the block — offering companionship, a listening ear, and a steady presence. These short strolls make a big difference to her day, supporting both her physical health and emotional well-being. A kind heart and a little time are all it takes.

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare

HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of people cared for by HammondCare.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements

National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare, NDIS Worker Screening Check •

We would be happy to discuss your availability Monday to Friday between 10-11am or 1-3pm for an hour visit weekly or fortnightly.
