Job Description - Complex Claims Manager


From September 2025, RACQ’s insurance arm began a long-term strategic alliance with IAG. RACQ Insurance helps members live and move safely, securely and sustainably into the future. Step into a role where your leadership directly shapes how we support our members when they need us most. As our Complex Claims Manager, you’ll lead a group of specialist leaders who support core claims operations and help strengthen the experience we deliver to our members. You’ll play a central role in guiding teams through important change, uplifting capability and contributing to how our Claims function evolves during our transition into IAG.  This is a permanent full-time role based in Meanjin (Brisbane).


 


What You'll Do


 



  • Lead specialist leaders responsible for delivering operational support and quality outcomes across the Claims function.

  • Drive effective, timely dispute resolution and partner closely with Operational and Group functions to improve member outcomes.

  • Provide operational leadership through change, supporting teams as RACQ Insurance transitions into IAG.

  • Support collaboration with Claims Operations, Underwriting and senior stakeholders to lift quality, productivity and capability.

  • Oversee compliance, resourcing and workflow priorities to ensure teams meet regulatory obligations and service expectations.

  • Contribute to broader Claims Leadership Team goals, supporting consistent and trusted experiences for our members


 


What You'll Bring


 



  • Experience leading teams within insurance, home claims, operations, complaints or member support environments.

  • Ability to navigate complex situations, exercise sound judgement and support teams through organisational change.

  • A collaborative leadership style grounded in strong values, care and capability-building.

  • Confidence engaging senior stakeholders and working across specialist functions that support frontline claims.

  • Strong communication skills with a focus on problem-solving and delivering quality outcomes for members.
