Compliance Surveillance - Quantitative Trading firm

A leading quantitative trading firm is looking for a Compliance Surveillance Officer to join its growing team in Sydney.

• Investigate trade surveillance alerts and unusual trading activities.
• Monitor for potential market abuse and trading conduct risks.
• Review electronic communications alerts and follow through to resolution.
• Analyse trading and market data to identify trends and exceptions.
• Support the enhancement of surveillance systems and controls.
• Assist with compliance monitoring and regulatory initiatives.
• Work closely with Trading, Technology, Risk, and Compliance teams.

• 3+ years of experience in Trade Surveillance, Market Surveillance, Compliance Monitoring, or a related area.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills.
• Understanding of financial markets and trading activity.
• Experience with SQL and/or Python is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Degree qualified or equivalent.
